You can:
Subscribe to the free monthly newsletter
Or choose a paid subscription to join the WhatsApp group
Or go all in with the premium tier, which includes being included in the directory
Choose what fits. You can upgrade anytime.
I picked a paid tier. Now what?
Once you subscribe at a paid level, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
That email includes a quick form to fill out. It asks for:
Your name
Business name (if applicable)
The email you used to subscribe here on Substack
Your WhatsApp number (so we can add you to the group)
Whether you're just starting out or more established - so we can add you to a group
Your website (optional)
A 150-character description of your business if you’re joining the Premium Tier
A photo link if you’re joining the Premium Tier
This is how we add you to the community (we do it manually — it keeps things secure and intentional).
When will I get added to the WhatsApp group?
New members are added weekly.
You’ll get a message when you’re in — and a warm welcome from the group.
We add people in batches so we can keep the energy manageable and friendly.
What’s the deal with the directory?
If you subscribed at the premium tier, your listing will be added to the public-facing directory.
It’s updated once a month and helps:
Other members find you
Potential collaborators or clients discover you
You feel like you’re on the map, not shouting into the void
You’ll be asked for your directory info in a follow-up email after joining.
I subscribed but didn’t fill in the form. What now?
Check your inbox (or spam). The email will be from Substack.
Didn’t get it? Email us at hello@wearesolotogether or fill in the form below and we’ll resend the link.
No form = no access. So don’t skip that step.
Can I just get the newsletter and not join the group?
Absolutely. Subscribe at the free level and you’ll get the monthly dispatch. No pressure. Just thoughtful, honest stories from the Solo, Together community.
What if I want to cancel?
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time through Substack. We’ll remove you from the WhatsApp group at the end of your billing cycle. No awkward goodbyes, we promise.
Why does it cost money?
To keep it sustainable, spam-free, and intentional. We do light moderation, regular content, and a real community — which means a bit of funding goes a long way.
£10 a month (or £100/year) keeps it running. £120/year adds you to the directory too.
